Claudius (AD 41‑54) AR Didrachm, mint of Caesarea in Cappadocia, AD 43‑48, 7.62g. [TI CLAVD CAESAR] AVG GERM PM TR P, laureate
head of Claudius left. Rev. Claudius, holding reins and sceptre, driving triumphal quadriga left, DE BRITANNIS in exergue. (RPC I, 3625;
Sydenham, Caesarea, 55). Good Very Fine. Reverse struck somewhat off‑centre. Dark cabinet toning and a clear ‘DE BRITANNIS’ in the
reverse exergue.
