Canute (1016-35), Penny, short cross type (1029-35/6), Leicester Mint, Moneyer Wulfstan, diademed bust left with sceptre, legend commences at top, +CNV T RERECX, rev short voided cross with pellet and annulet centre, within linear circle, +PVLSTAN ON L.EHR., 1.07g (BMC type XVI, cf.269; N.790; S.1159).

Double struck on obverse, the unusual double entering of “REX” title not a product of the double strike, toned very fine and rare.
