Lightly toned, extremely fine an unusual reading which seems to be a blundered London signature, rare.
This coin struck from dies of class B “London” style as defined by Blackburn and Lyon in their article “Regional Die-Production in Cnut’s Quatrefoil Issue” chapter 13 of Anglo-Saxon Monetary History. These dies therefore cut at London and supplied for use to strike coinage in London.
