Seleukid Empire.

Demetrios III (98-87 BC).

Silver Tetradrachm, mint of Damaskos, dated SE 224 (89/8 BC).

Obverse: Diademed head of Demetrios facing right.
Reverse: ΒAΣΙΛEΩΣ ΔHMHTPIOV ΦEOV ΦIΛOΠΛTOPOΣ ΣΩTHPOΣ, cult statue of Atargatis standing, holding flower in left hand and with a barley stalk rising from each shoulder, N above monogram in outer left field, [ΔKε (date) in exergue, [all within a laurel wreath].
