Eadgar (959-975), Penny, Reform Coinage. York mint, moneyer Wulfric. Diademed and draped bust facing left in solid inner circle surrounded by legend + EADGAR REX ANGLOX. Rev, small cross pattée in solid inner circle, legend reads + PELFRIC M¯O EOFOR, 1.36g (N.752; S.1141)
Bold fine, very fine in places, with a clear portrait. Unevenly toned on reverse, otherwise a nice example of a rare type, with a fine pedigree.
