Edward the Confessor (1042-66), Penny, Pyramids type (1065-66), Winchester mint, moneyer Lifinc, crowned bust right, trefoil tipped sceptre in front, legend surrounds EADÞARD REX. Rev, voided short cross, in each angle a pyramid style symbol terminating in a pellet tip, legend reads +LIFINC ON PINPII, 1.09g (S.1184; N.831; BMC XIV).

Some ghosting on obverse, a crude style portrait synonymous with some of the localised issues and die combinations, comprehensive reverse, well-toned. Very fine.
