Edward IV (1471-1483), Second reign, Groat, London mint, type XVIII, crowned facing bust, fleurs on cups, mintmark pierced cross and pellet (c.1477-80), legend surrounds EDWARD DEI GRA REX ANGL Z FRANC. Rev, long cross fourchée, trefoil of pellets in angles, reads POSVI DEVM A DIVTORE MEVM, inner script CIVITAS LONDON, 2.73g (S.2098; N.1631; B&W XVIII).
Light grey toned patina, legible legends with a proficient portrait, striking hairline flaw by the D of Edward running down to 3 o’clock. Good very fine, fetching.
