Bare bust l. of John M McLennan, Founding date of 1855 below. Rev. View of Gothic façade of college (demolished 1958) PRIZE MEDAL / GRANT COLLEGE. Scrolled “Mutiny” type swivel suspender. Box in brown leatherette with blue silk and velvet lining. (Pudd 894.2.2).

In 1826 John McLennan, a surgeon, was the superintendent of the Indian (native) medical school, Azad Maidan before moving to the Grant Medical College.
