Elagabalus (AD 218-222).

Silver Denarius, mint of Rome, AD 221.

Obverse: IMP ANTONINVS PIVS AVG, laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Elagabalus right, with ‘horn’ and beard.
Reverse: INVICTVS SACERDOS AVG, Elagabalus, in priestly dress, standing left, sacrificing over altar, star to left.

Extremely Fine. Pleasing cabinet tone.
