Elizabeth II (1952-2022) Maundy Set, 1957, Fourpence, Threepence, Twopence, Penny. Young laureate head of Queen right, legend and beaded border surrounding, +ELIZABETH.II. DEI. GRATIA. REGINA. F:D. Rev, crowned mark of value with date flanking contained within oak wreath (S. 4131; Bull 4567; ESC 2574). A touch of clouding, otherwise much As Struck, brilliant, rare, with red leather case of issue (sound) and paper envelope from the Royal Mint.

The 1957 Maundy service was held at St Alban’s Cathedral.
