Lucien Georges Bazor (1889–1974) was the Chief Engraver at the Paris mint from 1930 to 1958. He was born in Paris in 1889 and initially studied under his father, Albert Bazor. He won the Grand Prix de Rome in 1923 for his engraving in Art Deco style. His 100 Franc pieces of 1929–1936 did not circulate, but were used as a convenient way to store gold.
