George I (1714-27), Shilling, 1723 South Sea Company issue, first laureate and draped bust right, toothed border surrounding both sides, legend commences GEORGIVS DG M BR FR ET HIB REX FD. Rev, crowned cruciform shields, garter star at centre, initials of the South Sea Company in alternating angles, date flanking top crown, legend reads BRVN ET L DVX SRIATH ET EL (S.3647; Bull. 1586; ESC. 1176).

Extremely fine or better, mottled toning on obverse, reverse iridescent cabinet toning.
