George I, Proclaimed King of England, AR medal 1714 (36mm.) by Martin Brunner. Laureate and armoured bust r., GEORG LVDOVICVS DG M BRIT REX D B ET L EL, in ex. PROCL XII AVG 1714. Rev. Apollo, radiate, seated on rock, charms a lion and leopard with his lyre, FIDIVM DVLCEDINE MITES, Tamed by the sweetness of the cords. (MI ii 419/1, illus., pewter only; Woolf 29:1; Montagu 671).

Extremely Fine with fair amount of original lustre and excessively rare.
