George II (1727-60), Crown, 1736, Roses and Plumes, young laureate and draped bust left, toothed border surrounding both sides , legend commences GEORGIVS II DEI GRATIA. Rev, crowned cruciform shields, twelve strings to Irish harp, garter star at centre, roses and plumes in alternate angles, date flanking top crown, legend reads M.B.F.ET. H.REX. F.D.B. ET.L.D.S.R.I. A.T ET.E., edge inscription DECVS ET TVTAMEN ANNO REGNI NONO (S.3686; ESC. 121; Bull 1664, Scarce).
Light toning, edge flaw near the G of the obverse legend. Portrait well struck up, slightest of weakness in the high points. Reverse, light haymarking, maintaining all the detail and allure of the type. Bold good very fine, parts nearer to extremely fine, pleasing.
