Reverse, crowned cruciform shields, garter star at center, date flanking either side of top crown, legend commences M.B.F. ET. H. REX. F. D. B. ET L. D. S.R.I.A.TH ET. E. (S.3705; ESC.1604; Bull 1737 [R4]).
Beautifully toned in a dusky granite grey with underlying mint iridescence and bloom, clear of any surface markings, nicks or handling marks, with a dual provenance of Spink and Baldwin, supporting tickets in place. Superb as struck, one of the premier examples available on the open market.
