Description

George III (1760-1820), Pattern Halfpenny in bronzed copper, Restrike issue 91, by W. J Taylor, dated 1805. Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, K :· on truncation (Kuchler), legend surrounds GEORGIUS III DG REX. Rev, Britannia seated left, with SOHO below union shield, holding olive branch and trident, in background to left, ship under sail right on sea, date below, edge plain (Peck 1309).

Rich mahogany toning, reflective fields, some carbon spots on obverse seen often on the type due to such highly polished dies used in the coins production. Reverse practically as struck. Uncirculated, much eye appeal.
