George III (1760-1820), Copper Two Pence, 1797, second issue. Soho (Birmingham) mint. Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust facing right, K on truncation for Kuchler, latin legend surrounds GEORGIUS III. D : G. REX . Rev, Britannia seated left on shield, holding olive branch and trident, to the left, ship sailing right (BMC. 1077; S.3776). Extremely fine, traces of lustre on both sides, some light nicks. Pleasing example.
