Greece, National Bank of Greece, uniface Obverse and Reverse Specimen 500-Drachmai banknote, dated 12 April 1923, obverse: purple and green, vignette of G Stavros within round frame at centre, two signatures below, detailed border around all including Greek Doric column to left and right, reverse: blue/grey, ancient ruins at centre, each perforated “SPECIMEN”, printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co Ltd, 187mm x 87mm (see Pick, “Standard Catalog of World Paper Money”, 78/86 for type).
