Description
George III (1760-1820), Halfpenny, Third issue, 1799, laureate and draped bust right, K on shoulder for Kuchler, legend reads GEORGIUS III DEI GRATIA REX. Rev. Britannia seated left with olive branch of fourteen leaves, trident and shield, ship to left with a large flag, raised line along length of hull, shield has thin raised rim, legend BRITANNNIA above, date below, edge grained (S.3778; BMC.1249). Toned and struck with precision, retaining practically all of the original full lustre and mint bloom, some toning spots, much as struck.
