Henry I (1100-35), Penny, pellets in quatrefoil type (c.1123), Lincoln mint, moneyer Wufie legend surrounds [+HEN]RICVS R, crowned and diademed bust facing, sceptre over right shoulder, in field a star. Rev, [+PV]FIT: ON HICOLE[:], four fleur de lis, quatrefoil in centre with foils terminating in three annulets, in centre, a star, 1.40g. (S.1275; N.870; SCBI 27 [Lincolnshire], 2229; dies 38 Allen dies Aa; BMC type 14). Toned, bold portrait with some dishing typical for the type, about extremely fine for issue. Rare.
