Henry VI (1422-1461) Groat, rosette-mascle issue (1430-31), Calais mint. Crowned facing bust, within tressure of nine arcs, large fleur on six cusps, circles and legend surrounding. Rev, long cross pattée, tri-pellets in each inner angle, twin concentric legends and beaded circles surrounding, mascle in one spandrel, 3.56gm (S. 1859; N. 1446). Extremely Fine, beautifully toned with a magnificent portrait, with old ticket.
