Henry VII (1485-1509), Fine Gold Angel, class IV/III mule, St Michael with both feet on dragon, dragon tail ends in field, beaded circle surrounding, initial mark greyhound head (1502-04) on obverse, upright anchor on reverse, nimbus and spear break inner circle, comma and tiny saltire stops, hEnRIC’x DI’x GRA’x REX’x AGLI’x Zx FRAnC’, rev die axis at 3 o’clock, ship sailing right, short bowsprit, ropes two to left, one to right, quartered shield upon hull, cross above, h to left, rose to right, comma stops only, PER’ CRVCE’ TVA’ SALVA nOS XPE’ REDE’, 5.11g (Schneider -; S.C.B.I. 23:34; N.1697/1696; S.2185/2183).
Toned, weak in parts with scratches both sides, otherwise about very fine and very rare.
