Henry VII (1485-1509), Fine Gold Angel, class III, St Michael with both feet on dragon, dragon tail ends in field, beaded circle surrounding, initial mark lis issuant from rose (1498-99) on obverse, nimbus and spear to outer border, comma and tiny saltire stops both sides, hEnRIC’x DI’x GRA’x REX’x AnGL’x Zx FRA’, rev struck en médaille, ship sailing right, short bowsprit to inner circle only, ropes two to left, one to right, quartered shield upon hull, cross above, h to left, rose to right, initial mark pansy (1495-98), second A in legend struck over S, PER’x CRVC’x TVA’x SALVAxx nESxx XPExx RED’, 5.07g (Schneider 524; S.C.B.I. 23:25; N.1696; S.2183).
Toned, one small chip, weak on dragon, otherwise with a good portrait of the Saint, good very fine / very fine and rare.
