India General Service Medal 1908-35, GVR, 2nd type, one clasp, Afghanistan N.W.F. 1919 and General Service Medal, 1918-62, clasp, Iraq, awarded to Jemadar Chattar Singh, 37th Lancers, Baluch Horse, India General Service Medal, (Jemdr. Chattar Singh. 37/Lcrs.); General Service Medal 1918-62, (Jemdr. Chattar Singh.), very fine.

Jemadar Chattar Singh entered service on 27/4/1897 and commissioned Jemadar on 13/7/1916. He attended a Motor Transport Course, a Machine Gun Course and held the English Course certificate Grade B. The 37th Lancers saw no active service during WWI but were awarded the battle honour Afghanistan 1919. This is his full medal entitlement; a scarce complete pair to an Indian cavalry Viceroy Commissioned Officer.
