India General Service Medal, 1854-95, two clasps, Burma 1887-89, Burma 1885-7 awarded to 339 Pte Edward Makin, 1st Battalion Yorkshire Light Infantry, (399 Pte. E. Makin 1st Bn. York L.I.), edge bumps, toned fine

Edward Makin was born c.1861 in Sheffield he Attested Yorkshire Regiment on the 29th of September 1882 stating that he was 21 years old and a File Cutter by trade., he stated that ye was presently serving in the 3rd Battalion West Yorkshire Regiment. He served Home 29th of September 1882 to 18th of September 1883, India 19th of September 1883 to the 19th of December 1887, Home 20th of December 1887 being discharged on the 28th of September 1894 after serving 12 years with the Colours.
