India Medal for Chin Lushai awarded to Sergeant Harry Newton Lees, 1st Battalion the Cheshire Regiment comprising, India General Service Medal, 1854-95, one clasp Chin-Lushai 1889-90, (557 Sergt. H. N. Lees. 1st Bn. Ches. R.), very fine

Harry Newton Lees attested for the Cheshire Regiment on the 31st of May 1883 stating that he was a 19-year-old Clerk from Leek, Staffordshire, he served with the 1st Battalion in the Mediterranean, Egypt and the East Indies, and participated in the Chin-Lushai expedition Northern Burma. He was discharged after 12 years with the Colours on the 30th of May 1895.
