Alexander Dunn joined the 83rd Regiment on the 12th of May 1854asa Boy Soldier he was promoted to Private on the 29th of May 1857and promoted to Corporal on the 23rd of July 1862.he served in the East Indies 4 years 358 days, and was awarded the Indian Mutiny Medal, without clasp. He was discharged on the 12th of March 1867, no longer fit for service.
