Ireland, Dublin, imitation Copper Halfpenny Trade Token, 1792, obverse: seated figure of Hibernia left (the Latin name for “Ireland”), INCORPORATED BY ACT OF PARLERMENT 1792, harp with eight strings, reverse: H M Co. cypher, CAMAC KYAN AND CAMAC HALFPENNY, loop of cypher C to second diagonal stroke of first A of second CAMAC, top of cypher C points to second stroke of N of AND, AN of AND touch, PE and NNY of HALFPENNY touch, edge plain, diam. 26mm (Dalton & Hamer “The Provincial Token Coinage of the 18th Century” 197, this token illustrated).

Struck on an imperfect flan, about very fine for issue and exceptionally rare.
