Ireland, Dublin, Hibernian Mine Company, Copper Halfpenny Trade Token, 1792, obverse: seated figure of Hibernia left (the Latin name for “Ireland”), INCORPORATED BY ACT OF PARLIAMENT 1792, harp with seven strings, top of head under C of ACT, top of harp to lower left serif of L of PARLIAMENT, second A of PARLIAMENT below I, EN of PARLIAMENT touch, 9 above 7, 2 above 9, harp strings thin and widely spaced, reverse: H M Co. cypher, TURNER CAMAC CHAIRMAN HALFPENNY, top of cypher C points to second downstroke of H of CHAIRMAN, RN of TURNER touch, AM of CAMAC touch, NN of HALFPENNY touch, edge PAYABLE IN DUBLIN OR BALLYMURTAGH, diam. 28mm (Dalton & Hamer “The Provincial Token Coinage of the 18th Century” 285).
