Obverse: Sea turtle with beaded shell, beaked head facing left.
Reverse: Incuse skew pattern.

Good Very Fine. Flan split. Suberb turtle.
Silver staters from Aegina were some of the first coins minted in a Greek city state. A significant power in the Mediterranean, the turtle represented Aegina’s naval strength and trading prowess.
