Islands off Caria, Rhodes (c. 229-205 BC), Silver Tetradrachm, 13.58g. Obverse: Radiate head of Helios facing slightly to the right. Reverse: Rose with bud to right, eagle to left. (Ashton 215; HGC 6, 1432). Good Very Fine. This issue coincides with the collapose of the Colossus of Rhodes, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
