James I (1603-25), Unite with a nominal value of twenty shillings, second coinage (1604-19), larger fifth crowned armoured half-length bust right, holding orb and fleur-de-lis tipped sceptre, inner and outer beaded circles, mintmark cinquefoil (1613-15) both sides, reads IACOBVS DG MA BRI FRA ET HI REX. Rev, crowned quartered shield of arms, I and R flanking, legend surrounds FACIAM EOS IN GENTEM VNAM, 10.05g (S.2620; N.2085; Schneider II, 28). Some contact marks and circular metal impressions above the orb. Good very fine, with an imposing fifth bust.
