James I (1603-1625), Gold Quarter-Laurel of Five Shillings, third coinage (1619-25), laureate and draped bust left, two loose tie ends to laurel wreath, value in field behind, beaded circle surrounding, initial mark thistle (1621-3), IACOBVS D: G: MAG: BRI: FRA: ET HI: REX, outer beaded circle surrounding both sides, rev die axis at 5 o’clock, crowned quartered shield of arms, upon long cross fourchēe, beaded circle surrounding, no reverse punctuation, HENRIC VS ROSAS REGNA IACOBVS, initial mark after third word, 2.23g (Schneider II-95; N.2118; S.2642).

Toned, good very fine.
