Silver Denarius, posthumous issue, April 44 BC, C. Cossutius Massidianus, moneyer.

Obverse: CAESAR [PARE]NS·PATRIAE, veiled and laureate head of Caesar facing right lituus to right.
Reverse: C·COSSVTIV[S] MARIDI-ANVS, A A A F·F in quadrants.

Extremely Fine. An exceptional portrait of Caesar, large area of weak strike to the obverse. Otherwise a superb piece with a pleasing blue toning.
