L. Philippus (113-112 BC).

Silver Denarius, Rome.

Obverse: Head of Philip V of Macedon facing right, wearing a royal Macedonian helmet decorated with goat horns, ROMA (in monogram form) behind.
Reverse: Equestrian statue, holding branch, set on platform inscribed PHILIPPVS, mark of value below.

Good Very Fine. A few striking splits in the flan, otherwise a pleasing example with toned lustre, struck on a large flan.
