L. Plautius Plancus, Silver Denarius, mint of Rome, 47 BC.

Obverse: L PLAVTIVS, facing head of Medusa, coiled serpents at either side of face.
Reverse: PLANCVS, Aurora, winged and draped, flying right, holding reins in each hand, conducting the four rearing horses of the sun.
