2nd. Lt. Frederick William Rivett, 125th Hy By. R.G.A.
Bombardier Frederick William Rivett landed in France with 24 Heavy Battery R.G.A on the 9th of October 1914, he was awarded a 1914 Star which was “returned to the Safe” on the 26th of August 1919 and re-issued on the 2nd of September 1919. He was Commissioned 2nd Lieutenant on the 27th of January 1918 into the R.G.A. His Military Cross, which is very nicely privately engraved, was Gazetted in the King’s Birthday Honours list of the 3rd of June 1919 stating that he was serving with 125 Heavy battery RGA.
