Uncirculated, proof-like, very rare.
The entire mintage of this type was returned to the Melbourne Mint which later sold 400 pieces in sets with pennies (KM 2). The balance of the mintage was destroyed. As a result of mass melting, these are more often offered in proof condition than in the circulation strike format found here.
