Queen’s South Africa Medal, 1898-1902, 3rd type, one clasp, Cape Colony, to Trooper G.J. Donoghue, Midland Mounted Rifles, (31017 Tpr. G.J. Donoghue. Midland M.R.) Impressed naming lightly toned very fine.

Gerald James Donoghue enlisted into the South African Colonial Defence Force at Port Elizabeth on 15th April 1901, and then saw service during the Boer War as a Trooper (No.31017) with the Midland Mounted Rifles, being present on operations in the Cape Colony.
