Queen’s South Africa Medal, 2nd type, 3 clasps, Cape Colony, Transvaal, Wittebergen, awarded to Acting Bombardier Alfred George Godwin 7th and 8th Batteries Royal Field Artillery, (56015 A. Br: A. G. Godwin. R.F.A.), impressed naming, very fine.

Alfred George Godwin attested for the Royal Field Artillery on the 4th of August 1886a Baker by Trade from Hampshire aged 20 years 2 months old. He was discharged Period of engagement expired on the 3rd of August 1898, Re attesting for a further 4 years with the Colours on the 23rd of August 1898. The Medals Rolls confirm that he is entitled to the 3 clasp QSA as described and a Two Clasp King’s South Africa Medal
