Description
Charles II (1649-85), Merk of 13 Shillings and 4 pence, 1672, laureate and draped bust right, thistle below, pellet stops in legend, but colon after DEI, toothed border surrounding both sides, rev die axis 3 o’clock, cruciform shields of arms, value at centre, crowned interlinked C’s in angles, date in legend to upper left, edge plain (S.5611).
Toned a little unevenly, hairline scratches, deeper scratch on bust, possibly previously mounted, otherwise very fine.
