Stephen (1135‑1154) Penny, substantive royal issues, cross moline ‘Watford’ type, c. 1136‑45), Stamford mint, moneyer Sigeweard. Crowned and diademed bust right, holding sceptre in right hand. Rev, cross moline, fleur in each angle, 0.98gm (S. 1278; N. 873). Choice Good Very Fine, well struck for issue, scarce.
