Description
The Boer War Pair awarded to Gunner Benjamin Roslyn 62nd Battery Royal Field Artillery comprising, Queen’s South Africa Medal, 2nd type, ghost dates, three clasps, Cape Colony, Paarderberg, Johannesburg, (30969 Gnr: B. Roslyn. 62: B, R.F.A.), King’s South Africa, two clasps, South Africa 1901, South Africa 1902, (30969 Gnr. B. Roslyn. R.F.A.), both impressed naming, toned fine.
Benjamin Roslyn joined the Royal Field Artillery on the 19th of October 1898 a native of seven Oaks, Kent an 18-year-old Gardner. He served with 62 Battery Royal Field Artillery in South Africa from the 26th of September 1899 to the 8th of November 1902. He returned Home on the 9th of November 1902 and was Discharged at Netley Hospital, Medically Unfit with Heart Disease, on the 13th of January 1903.
