Thrace, Lysimachus (305-281 BC)

AR Tetradrachm 17.07gm., Lampsakos.

Obverse: Head of the deified Alexander the Great facing right, wearing the horns of Zeus Ammon.

Reverse: Athena Nikephoros seated left, holding Nike on extended right arm, her left resting on a shield, BAΣΙΛΕΩΣ to right, ΛYΣIMAXOY to left. Monogram in left field, crescent in exergue.

Extremely Fine. Some pitting on obverse. Otherwise excellent artistic style.
