Victoria (1837-1901), 1898, Crown, LXII edge, old head coroneted and veiled left, T.B. below denoting engraver Thomas Brock, legend toothed border both sides, legend surrounds VICTORIA DEI GRA BRITT REGINA FID DEF IND IMP. Rev, Saint George on horseback slaying dragon, date in exergue, B.P. in upper right for Benedetto Pistrucci, edge inscription DECVS ET TVTAMEN ANNO REGNI LXII (S.3937; ESC.315; Bull. 2605).

A scarcer year in the series with bright and even surfaces, a well struck up example. Small indentation above the I in Victoria, some hairlines and nicks in fields, very common in this series of Crowns. Good extremely fine, with excellent detail to the reverse design.
