Victoria (1837-1901), Crown, 1844, young filleted head left, W WYON. RA raised on truncation, date below, toothed border surrounding both sides, legend surrounds VICTORIA DEI GRATIA. Crowned quartered shield of arms within laurel wreath, reads BRITANNIARUM REGINA FID DEF, edge inscription with cinquefoil stops DECUS ET TUTAMEN ANNO REGNI VIII (S.3882; ESC. 281; Bull 2562).

Darkly toned with some die rust spots, few nicks and markings on obverse mainly, pleasing portrait, reverse a lightly tone, becoming progressively more difficult to obtain in stronger grades. Good very fine.
