Great Britain, Warwickshire, George Hollington Barker (1735-1802, lawyer and coin collector, 7 The Square, father of George Barker), Uniface White Metal Halfpenny Obverse Die Trial, undated (c.1795), obverse: shield of arms, crest a bare-chested warrior armed with spear and shield, G H B in ornamental script below, BIRMINGHAM HALFPENNY around, reverse: blank, edge plain (rough), diam. 31mm (Dalton & Hamer “The Provincial Token Coinage of the 18th Century” unlisted, see 65bis I).

Good extremely fine and retaining some brilliance, weakly struck at 3 to 6 o’clock but much as made, exceptionally rare.
