Silver Penny, London Mint (1080-1087, moneyer: Aelfwine), profile right type.

Obverse: + PILLELM REX, crowned bust of William I to right, holding lys-tipped sceptre in left hand.
Reverse: + AELFPINE ON LVN, short cross pattée with voided annulet in centre, trefoils surrounding.

Extremely fine and well struck for issue, attractively toned. Rare type.
