Britannia seated and holding trident and shield, beside her an olive-branch resting upon a book and a broken yoke, RESTITVTORI, , BRITANNIA MDCXCVII in exergue in two lines, (MI ii, 192/499; E 372; Pax 348; vL.IV, 250), toned and lustrous with a beautiful blue iridescence, apart from small scrape to r. of Britannia’s’ head. Good Extremely Fine, a splendid example of this attractive and impressive medal.
