A Normandy Campaign Guards Armoured Division 8th August 1944 Casualty, Palestine 1945-48 and British Transport Police Long Service Group of 6 awarded to Corporal Dennis J. Glover, 2nd (Armoured) Battalion Grenadier Guards, , later Royal Corps of Signals and British Transport Police comprising, 1939-45 Star, France & Germany Star, 1939-45 Defence Medal, 1939-45 War Medal, unnamed as issued , General Service Medal 1918-62, one clasp Palestine 1945-48 (2622854 Cpl. D.J. Glover R. Sigs.), Police Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, EiiR, (Constable Dennis J. Glover), contemporarily mounted for wear, very fine.

2622854 Lance Corporal D.J. Glover , 2nd (Armoured) battalion Grenadier Guards appears in Casualty List No 1514 as wounded on the 2nd of August 1944. After the War Glover transferred to the Royal Corps of Signals, note same Service Number, serving in Palestine then serving with the British Transport Police receiving a Long Service Medal.

Sold with original box for the GSM addressed to Mr D J Glover, Barkestone Lane, Bottesford, Nottingham. And the original box for the Police LS&GC addressed to British Transport Police Constable Dennis J. Glover. St John Ambulance Association Medal (A257662 Dennis Glover).
